This page describes the current data handling of FIELD / ROCK ID.
Photos and optional notes
When you press Identify rock, the selected photo and any optional notes are sent to Google Gemini so it can analyze the visible features. The site does not save a history of submitted photos, notes, or identification results.
Third-party processing
Google Gemini processes identification requests under Google’s own terms and privacy practices. Cloudflare delivers this website and may process technical request data needed to operate and protect the service under its own privacy policy.
Advertising, affiliate links, and analytics
This site currently uses Google Analytics to measure website traffic and interaction. Google Analytics may process usage and device information under Google’s own privacy practices. This site currently has no third-party advertising code or affiliate links. If either is added later, this page will be updated to name the relevant service or relationship and explain the change.
